Whenever Anna Miedaner likes something on her travels, she brings it home with her. Be it the beach chair on Sylt, the armchairs from Moroso or the fruit bowls from Alessi. And it always looks good next to the Bavarian, down-to-earth, local objects, which are of course also available here. Contrasts? Yes, but they complement each other perfectly.
A design hotel in the Bavarian Forest
Avant-garde chairs from Moroso. Iconic lamps in bright red and XXL. Fun striped parasols and changing rooms by Weißhäupl - our designer furniture also tells the story of the hotel's 50-year history. Every decade has left its mark on us, but new things are still being added almost daily. Some things leave us again when we and our guests have had our fill of them - or when we come across something even more beautiful.
Every room is unique
Let yourself be surprised again and again by rooms that couldn't be more different. There is the “Lifestyle Suite”, the “Sportlerzimmer” or the “Jägergrün”. They really do differ in everything, from the wallpaper to the curtains, from the armchair to the table. Our suites are particularly beautiful. With an armchair called Reindeer. Wallpaper with lace details or “Woodland” with deer and funny sayings. Lamps from Occhio and Artemide. Would you have expected this in the Bavarian Forest?
Artists in the hotel
Elvira Bach, one of the best-known contemporary painters and representative of the famous “Junge Wilde” in Berlin, paints herself again and again, sensually and opulently. Here you will find a striking number of Elvira's motifs with food. Also originals by S.K. Fürstberg, the Munich artist, and Josef Oberberger, the painter, draughtsman, caricaturist, glass painter and art professor, can be found in the Berghotel Maibrunn.
